About Me

With over 11 years of experience in communication management and television news reporting roles, I have developed a strong foundation in writing and storytelling within multiple mediums including social media, television and print.

As communications and marketing manager for the City of Detroit General Services Department, I work closely with local and national media outlets and lead a team of digital specialists to inform Detroit residents about anything from new parks and recreation centers, to animal control services and blight remediation on several platforms. In the last two years, I've planned and coordinated major press events for the City of Detroit and wrote talking points for officials.

Before my current position, I was a television reporter for news stations across the country including Northern Michigan, Louisiana, Virginia and my last stop, my hometown of Detroit at WDIV Local 4. While career shifts happen, my passion and commitment to helping people, willingness tolearn, and ability to simplify complex topics for people to easily understand and use in their daily remains a priority to me.

I'm a proud graduate of Grand Valley State University as well as a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated and National Association of Black Journalists.
